To start the year we have a fines amnesty on. This means you can return overdue books without having to pay fines. So if you have come across some library books over the holidays now is a good time to return them. No questions asked. Books can be returned to any campus library.
The amnesty is on for a limited time only (9th of January to 28th of February 2017) and does not include admin fees for books that have been invoiced.See posters at campus libraries or ask staff for details.
There will be a slightly reduced library service over the next two weeks:
Rosyth and Nairn campus library – Closed until Mon 11th April
St Brycedale – Open Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-420pm
Halbeath – No evening opening, closes 5pm Tues and Thurs
Stenton – Closed Mon 28th, Tues 29th and Wed 30th Closed until 1pm
Lunch opening hours are subject to change, please get in touch if you want to check. Phone numbers can be found here.
As we edge closer to the end of another busy term, now is the perfect time to return any overdue items to the library without receiving any fines. We are keen to recover any overdue resources you may have forgotten about or misplaced. If you genuinely think you may have lost an item it is still worth letting library staff know so that we can come to an arrangement with you and ensure stock is replaced. Please return any overdue items to your library (see posters for details of arrangements in your campus) and we shall take them off your account without any fines being incurred.
The amnesty will remain in place until 20th June so if you have been intending to drop by with your overdue books, journals or DVDs, now is the time to do it!
